These Ray Ban sunglasses are part of Ray Ban's new TECH line of sunglasses that incorporate Carbon-Fiber into the frame to various degrees. In this case, the temples of the glasses are in Carbon Fiber while the rest of the frame is in a light metal. The ends of the arms are relatively straight and sleek looking while the lens area is traditional aviator, making these a stylish updated frame that combine classic design with innovation. They are very comfortable to wear and feel light on the face and manage to fit very well.
The lenses on the Polarized version are simply superb. Even though the lens itself is marked with just a the usual 'Ray Ban P', the frame states that the lenses are in fact the newer 'P3 Plus' types. Astonishingly enough, comparing them to another pair of polarized Ray Ban aviators suggests that the improvements are actually noticeable. Colors seem more vibrant and clear while image is crispier and sharper with no distortions to speak of. I'd have to say that I will insist on purchasing only the 'P3Plus' type polarized Ray Bans in the future. I believe that the primary difference between the 'P3' and the 'P3Plus' types is that while the 'P3' are polycarbonate, the 'P3Plus' are real glass, but of course the technical details are hard to come by and verify.
In summary, these are excellent glasses and I'm very happy to have acquired them.

As usual, these are really nice sunglasses. I like the new unbreakable sides and the hinges seen to be heavier duty (compared to aviators of the past).
Mirrored look is a definite nice feature as well. On the downside the case is not of the quality of the older cases and mine cracked when I opened them the first time (cold weather and cheap materials don't get along...bring bsck the old leather cases). Also would like to have been able to purchase a slightly larger frame size.
